The Midwest Music, Movie and Modeling Expo
"Chasing the Dream" is a networking conference to bring industry people
together in Columbus and surrounding Midwest Cities. (Midwest
Expo 2003 Coming Soon or call 1-800-568-1280 for information about this
years expo.) The idea is to teach and
educate the up and coming talent how the entertainment industry works. It will
also show how to take a finished product to the market place and also the
companies will be looking for new talent for the up and coming movies,
music and modeling projects in the area.
Everybody does not have to move to L.A. or New York in order to make it in the
entertainment business.
Through the vast upgrade in equipment and technology of today, a person could have a
basement studio and make music and movies just as professional as the big
producers in L.A. In addition, combined with the information age of websites,
emails, faxes, teleconferencing, overnight delivery service and airline travel,
the finished product can be shopped to the market place all over the world.
Also, from an economical standpoint, it is actually a lot less expensive to make
movies and music in the Midwest. There are two reasons for this:
a) A lower cost of living
b) Lack of competition in the entertainment field. The main reason why the
Midwest is so behind is that the people who live in the Midwest are not exposed
to the entertainment success. So in their hearts and minds, they do not
believe the dream can be obtainable. This behavior leads to lack of discipline,
motivation and the search for knowledge needed to take on the great task.
It is now time for this part of the country to strategically network and pull
all of our resources together and learn how to make, market, promote quality
product and take to the market place to close the deal.
Lets breakdown the promotional strategy for The Midwest Music, Movie and
Modeling Expo to make this event a big success. The campaign will
start two months before the event and gradually start to intensify as
we move closer to the event date.
a) 8 weeks of flyer distribution in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland,
Indianapolis and some other surrounding cities. (40,000 four colored double sided flyer.)
b) 6 weeks of TV commercials on cable MTV, BET. VH1 and UPN 53 in Columbus and some
surrounding cities.
c) 4 weeks of radio advertising and ticket give a ways on Sunny 95, WNCI, CD101,
BLITZ, 107.5 and some surrounding cities.
d) 2 weeks of print ads/Press releases in local newspaper.
| Objective
goal of The Midwest Music, Movie & Modeling Expo |
